G5X3 cam and LG/AFR , 90mm intake/TB
Hi guys,
Well we just got a car off the dyno with our LG Cam and head package including our LG Pro Long Tube headers and all I can say is wow.
486rwhp 437 rwtq !!
The heads are AFR 205 heads that we upgrade the springs and compression to 11:1
We used our LG Pro Long Tube 1 3/4 headers and our G5X-3 cam on a 114.
The car is a daily driver and it runs great in traffic or highway. the normal G5X-3 manners.
The car also has a Fast 90mm intake and our LG/NW 90mm throttle body.
This is as driven on the street with stock waterpump with all belts on the car. I might take it to another shop to dyno just for fun. We have done that before just to show that our dyno reads correctly.
At any rate, here is the graph
4100 rpms to 6300rpms over 400 ft pounds of torque.
4800 up the power is above 400 hp
and at 5250 the power is almost 440rwhp all the way up to 6800
Nice package.
Car is a 2001 Corvette Z06 with Borla mufflers and full exhaust.
thanks

Hi GUys,
The G5X-4 would be nice but this customer wanted to have a daily driver street car with muscle. He doesn't want to go to the drag strip. So we went with the G5X-3. Now here us talking about the G5X-3 as a mild cam??( oh, he wanted a daily driver)
The G5X-4 is for Country Boy's new G5X-4/ AFR package
The Ls1 edit has allowed all of the tuners out there to make the LSx engine run great even with pretty large cams.
Keep in mind that the G5X-3 cam goes right in a stock LSx engine without any flycutting.
J-Rod had the same cam but the heads were not up to the new AFR castings. Remember they started with a new casting so they could add meat in areas so they could raise the ports and vastly improve the flow.
The only 1/4 mile times were j-rod with similar numbers and heavily modded ls6 heads at a 10.6 @ 126 mph. And Maggie who ran 10.83 @ 126 with her F-body at 3450 race weight.
i am sure that there will be some who 1/4 mile the package.
We need some of the F-body crowd to step up to the plate and hit the package full force and take it to the strip.
thanks guys. We will be getting some AFR 225s for a stock cu in soon.

Damn thats as good as my newest results from my 395 stroker. I just added the 90mm setup and I have race heads and a medium cam with TPIS headers and I think we did,
486 rwhp and 448 rwtq.
