Default Which rocker combo is best?

Over which valve would a higher ratio rocker arm benefit the most? (In my particular setup) over the intake? exhaust? both? neither?

I just got a set of SLP 1.85 RA and am deciding on the first combination to try out. 1.85s on the intakes/1.7s on the exhaust or 1.85s exh/1.7 int. I plan to test these different combinations at the track.

I'm using a 206/212 .515/.522 112 cam installed on a 112 icl. Although the cam pulls past 6000 rpm and I gained 1 mph trap speed over stock cam, I feel that my top end (4500-6000) could use a boost that these rockers appear to give.

I'm leaning towards installing it on the intakes first. Thus, giving me a mini version of the "Oldman Cam", lol. Any insight is appreciated from guys that have been there and done that before too.

What's your thoughts for the best combination?

Not trying to change subject but from what i have seen the price of the rockers arms are as much or more than a new cam. Why are you going this rought?

I'm different A lot of my enjoyment with vehicles is experimenting with different setups, testing out theories, & getting greasy every once in awhile. Then going to the track to test it out. I'm not a racer. I am a test-n-tuner! That's why my mod list is a bit different from most guys (racers) on here. Street manners is top priority.

Anyway, the shorter answer to your question is that I got the rockers for $200 shipped. I'm hoping for a 1 mph increase (~10hp). So, $20/hp is within the upper limits of my accepted price range.

Sorry, this isn't gonna answer you questions but make sure you upgrade your valve springs if you do the 1.85 rockers. Also, for your mods that's pretty good mph for a small cam/auto.

I got 918 springs installed so it should be good enough. Thanks for the warning though. And thanks for noticing the mph!

Anybody want to make a prediction as to the best rocker combo? Nothing to lose
