Call me stupid, but.... convos pros are 8.5 inch wheel correct, i was debating this with a friend for an 8.5" inch wheel a 26x10 et drag is too wide for that, he explains that mickey thompson and hoosier reccommends a 10.5" tire....so i explain maybe a 26x10.5 et street which is narrower than a 26x10 et drag, but he goes on that hes got 26x10.5x15 et drags which i didnt even know they made in that size as i thought it went 26x8.5 to a 26x10 in sizes...anyways am i wrong or is this guy full of **** and i went on to tell him hes crazy for running that size tire on that narrow of rim....lets hear it guys
and use the 26x10 drags

I ran a 26x11.50 ETstreet without any troubles on a stock 16"x8 wheel.
Also now I run 325/50/15 ET Street Radial they are = to a 28x13.50 on a 10" wheel. Now problems here either.
A 26/10 ET Drag had a tread width of 9.6" or so. His rim is only 1" thinner than his tire. He is better off than I am.

26x10 drag is too small for the rim...sure you can do it, just like you see guys using a 315 on a 9.5 rim....both not recommended, though they do it...it pinches the tire too much.
There's alot of things I see folks doing, though it is not safe...those VW skinny tires are a pet peeve of mine...heavy as crap, and not safe above 85mph...but folks still do it as they try to save a few dollars over the safety of themselves and others.
Not sure why they don't either pick a rim that fits the tire, or pick a tire that fits the rim...being that centerlines don't work well with F-bodies due to BS issues, they are stuck to using smaller rims with smaller tires or choose a shorter rear to run the larger rims with larger tires.
