Default Don't try this at home

I just put my GMMG on last weekend. Here is a couple warnings from my rhino ramp 8000's.

"Do not use with cars that have greater than 7.5" tread width."

"Adapters or attachments are only to be supplied by the manufacturer."

Eh, what do they know?

Actually my plates just came in the mail about an hour ago. Still deciding whether I'm going to put one up front (I'm supposed to in IL) but I might try my luck for a while without it and then say. "Oh, sorry I didnt know officer." I bought the car in Oklahoma so it doesnt even have the plate mount holes in the grill let alone the mount itself.

LuvmeZ, there's no way I'd be able to get that thing on without ramps. It's only a 2 piece catback, except the tips. I try to avoid jacking the car up if possible because of the fender bending thing. (I know about Installuniversity liftpoints)

I personally havent jacked the car up since I got it but the drivers side fender is pushed out some already.

Oh, and the exhaust is clean AND MEAN!

what are you talking about...you lift on the subframe...they are solid which ='s no bending

I'm talking about the lift points in the owners manual. I've read on here more than once if you use the factory liftpoints then you'll bend the fender tabs or something resulting in the edge of the fender to be pushed out about 1/4 inch.

Not so. Owners manual lift points are correct.

Also the tabs he's talking about are towards the front. You'll be jacking up towards the rear. "Jacking up not jacking off"

First off, thanks for the exhaust props fellas.

2nd, LuvmeZ there's no way to get gmmg on without lifting the car some way.

3rd, I do stand corrected in regards to the factory lift points. I'm aware I'd be jacking the car up in the rear. I havent even bought a floor jack/stands yet. No need to climb up my back guys I just have seen a few threads about it, and should have looked into it more (would have after buying a jack). All is well.

mine was in three pieces, so im sure that made it easier. and these guys are just riding you about the lift points because they are envious of your GMMG.

Hope it works for you, it didn't for my ex GF. She got stopped, fined and had to appear in court to show judge compliance with the law. Her car came !front plate mount, too. Just used some self drilling screws into the bumper cover and all was good. Fine dropped. She didn't care about the screws, it was only a dodge stratus.

That GMMG is very tight.
