Default What performance upgrades can I get from a GM Dealer?

Ok, on the "other" forum, there is a deal for any GM parts at DEALER cost. This is an amazing deal that I would like to take advantage of. I was just wondering, what all could I really upgrade or buy that I might need later? I am going to do all the bolt-ons, heads/cam, etc. later so if you guys can tell me ANYTHING I should look into, please tell me. And you guys might want to check this out too.

I would imagine that it varies greatly by dealer, but I thought that a Corsa cat-back was the only thing GM actually "approved" of without voiding the warranty.

You could get the GM Hotcam but since you are gonna do a heads/cam package later on I wouldn't waste money on that. Other than that I don't know.

You can buy GM gears, but I don't know if they go any lower (numerically higher) than a 3.42. Maybe there is a 3.73, but I can't remember. Stop by the dealer and pick up a GM Performance Parts catalog.

GM has a High Performance catalog that you should be able to get at any GM service center and they have areas for LS1's and F-Bodies.

BTW where is this at cost deal?

Not necessarily. The short answer to "will this void my warranty" is talk to your dealer. And knowing some dealers, if they say they will warranty something they will proabably have to do it themselves and I would get it in writing.

If you do a mod, it doesnt just void the warranty altogether. It can void other parts potential for being covered under warranty but only if the mod you did made the other part/parts malfunction/break. For instance if you put on a K&N and then you threw a code cause of oil on your MAF they may or may not fix it. Its up to the dealer.

i think any gm performance parts will not void the warrenty, like aluminum driveshafts, LS6 heads, hot cam, 1LE parts
personally, i dont care about the warrenty, i like working on my car
