Unfortunate news...
Well, i just got news that my insurance company has re-evaluated my driving record and they don't seem to like it very much...so in turn they upped my premiums sky high and i wont be able to afford the Ls1 TA I have been saving for Now i have about $8K sitting around to buy a car...what should i do with it??? my friends have been telling me to buy a fox body and beef it up or buy a 67 firebird and swap an ls1 into it...but i dunno. what can i do??? i hate the fact that i'm so in love with horsepower, lol. any ideas???

You're in a bad spot here, basically any "sporty" car is gonna cost you with a not-so-good driving record. Maybe you should look into a sport truck , they might go easier on you and you could mod it.

You can get a ls1 rx-7 for around 10,000 turnkey. A stock motor will run 11.8-9s in an rx-7 http://www.hinsonsupercars.com/

well, i was actually on my dads policy with State Farm. They are asking $700 a month for full coverage...and i have to have full coverage to be making payments on a car, or so i've been told. Everyone is telling me to check out different companies so i think i will before i make any decisions. but, i think if i can't afford it, i'll probably just go and pay cash for an LT1 car and have liabilty only
