Sprayed Evo vs HCI 99 Z28 Question
Just curious what a evo w/ stock turbo, larger down pipe and full exhaust and mild bolt ons w/ what he claims is a 150 shot. Can a evo even take a 150 shot??? Anyway, He wants to run me bad but it is snowing and the Z is put away. My current set up is Patriot stage 2 LS6 heads, 231/237 cam, LS6 intake, long tubes, and all the supporting bolt ons. Also running 12 bolt w/ 4.10's. I'm currently on 315 Nitto drags on 17x11. I haven't ran this motor setup yet, It is currently going back in the car but was curious when spring comes around what will happen. Thanks
This will be from a Dig!!

Take this from somebody's that just run against an EVO. They're fast, but you'll **** him up. Those 4.10's and the Nittos are your buddy on this one.
150 shot!?!? You never know... people do some stupid things to their cars. If he's got it, it's the only thing that'll keep him on your 6, otherwise... like Dionne Warwick says, "Walk on by..."

All I know is that a decent amount of Evo's have blown there motors on anything over 100. The stock pistons are a weak point, from what I have heard the sudden explosion of the all the extra power has been know to crack the pistons, this is on a 100 shot. Most Evo tuners don't recommend anything over 75. Crank is forged, pistons are cast.Just what I have heard. By the way Evo's are good for 500-525 AWHP on stock internals, after that you are pushin your luck.
