Default Run in with a Carrera GT

I was out this afternoon just driving around enjoy the warm weather. I'm driving along and I take a quick glance in my rear-view mirror and see a very low to the ground graphite colored car coming up fast in the left lane. Within a few seconds a brand new Carrera GT (more than likely the only one in NM) flew past me probably going close to 150. So I downshift and get on it and attempt to catch up to him as he had to slow for the turn coming up.
He must've seen me trying to catch him right before he turned because he was driving slow waiting for me after the turn. I put it in second at about 50 as I pulled next to him and he as well was ready to go. We both took off at about the same time and he put at least a bus length and a half on me by 100. It was an awesome race and a really cool humble guy which is always good to see in someone with that much money. A lot of LS1 techers seem to think that the Carrera GT is an ugly car, but after seeing and hearing one in person i'm sold on how good looking they really are.

Guaranteed. I'll disregard the fact that I was driving the Accord uphill a while back trying to hit the speed limit and I got passed by an F-350 towing one of the biggest 5th wheelers that i've ever seen.

Give the guy some credit for trying. He was in a car that traps a buck-o-five racing a car that traps in the 130's!!

Well that car would probably trap low to mid 120s where I live. I would be trapping 110-112 if you compare my sea-level speed to the sea-level trap speed of the Porsche. Nonetheless I got killed.

I think the Cerrera GT is the best looking exotic next to a mercialago(sp).

Holy shiznit, a "bus and a half" on you with a mere 50-100 run! Damn, I didn't realize they were THAT fast....but for $400k...

By the way, they are gorgeous cars and i can't imagine anyone ever thinking they are unattractive, unless they are just talking out their jealous ***.
