I dislike GT's very much. As a matter of fact, I dislike Ford as a whole except for the 03 cobras and the Ford GT. It means nothing to me to see a mid 13 second GT (or slow ass vette) get beat.

To be honest, if you want a new muscle car, the only thing you can get is the new Mustang or a GTO. I think I would consider a Neon if I were looking at American cars. Price/performance ratio isn't that bad. Makes a good daily car, good on gas, room in the back seat for shit. Hard as hell for me to get in one tho (6' tall).

I'm by all means happy with my TA & wouldn't trade it for a 5 second neon. But let him post his vids. Seems like all this neon talk is just to stir up shit anyway.....if you feel that bad about it, just romp em when you seem em on the road...my satisfaction is just seeing them get smaller in the rear view :D

Last I checked, this was LS1Tech, not SRTForums. If we wanted to read about Skittles and how amazing their owners think they are, we'd reluctantly head on over to SRTForums.com. But since we aren't over there, I'm pretty sure we're here to NOT hear about how incredibly awesome their owners think they are. Who cares if we have STOCK LS1's and talk smack on Skittles. That's because we don't give a shit about them and are here to talk about LS1's, not much about any other car. Muscle cars and sometimes exotics: yes. Wrong wheel drive, 4door pocket rockets aimed for the Fast and Furious crowd: no thanks. I love Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc, but that doesn't mean half my posts are gonna be about those cars and how awesome I think they are. If I or anyone else wants to read/watch,learn about them, we'll head over to forums based on those cars. Doesn't seem like rocket science. Bias should be expected when a site is built solely on a certain car.

Everyone here is entitled to their opinion. That said, 2 things come to mind:

1) Opinions are like assholes. Everyone's got one, and most of them stink.

2) Neon's are bitch cars. Granted, the SRT is a screaming bitch, but no amount of boost will change the fact when a Neon pulls up to the light, all it says is "Hi."

I don't see how posting a video in the multimedia section is stirring up anything. I like to see races, I like to see the underdog win. Both things were shown in the video & who ever edited it had the balls to show the loss to the Cobra as well and not just the wins. Yes this board is centered around LS1's but I bet you don't see anyone talking crap to someone that has Viper or something like that if he was just posting up some racing vids that he thought others might like to view. And you would be wrong. Although, like anywhere, you will always have the sh*t talkers.. the LS1 gets plenty of respect. The "joke" in the SRTforums is that "LS1's fall on their faces at 85 MPH". Everyones knows they don't except for newbe "kids".

MANY folks have the Neon as their A-B car (like myself) and have "real" cars for the weekends and/or the track. I can think of at least 6 people of the top of my head that have a SRT and a Corba or LSx car.

Now if you have a Mustang GT.... well... you will not get as warm a reception.
