will corvette manifolds fit on an f body?

will corvette manifolds fit on an f body? a friend told me he read the article in car craft about LS1s and they wrote something like it would take 1 and 7/8 headers to equal corvette manifolds
has anybody read the article and can shead some light on this subject for me . if they would work and get a gain it will help in my quest to make fast and look stock
