Default TSP's New 233/239 .603/.600 Camshaft ! ! !

Texas Speed is proud to now offer the 233/239 .603/.600 112+2 LS1 Camshaft

Designed off our 231.237 camshaft, the 233/239 cam offers great performance for customers wanting big power with good p/v clearance!

The 233/239 camshaft features slightly more aggressive lobes than the 231.237 camshaft, but will still work with a single springs such as the 918!

Testing has shown 50+rwhp gains from stock camshafts, and a 18+rwhp gain over a 230/227 camshaft!

The 233/239 lobe design also helps to give the camshaft good piston to valve clearance. The camshafts lobes will also work well for customers wanting to run it with a bigger valve setup such as the PRC Stage 2.5 5.3L heads!!

The 233/239 .603"/.600" camshaft will be on special for $310 from now to Christmas!!

Wow, I like the looks of this cam. I'm definately getting a cam package from you guys before Christmas but there's so many to choose! Started out wanting the Torquer, then figured I would be happier with the 231/237 then started to read the MS3 fit stock heads as well and had my mind set on it.... NOW this cam looks pretty sweet Guess you guys will be getting a call from me with in the next week with a few questions.

When using the formula to determine the cam "lope" that I found in another thread in this forum... I come to a value of 16 v/s 13.5 with the MS3. Am I correct in using 110 for LSA since it's 112+2 or am I wrong? I know it sounds vain but I'm really wanting a cam that sounds plain evil at idle

May be of high lift or the compression. I don't know how many hp can the stock piston can handles, but I hear that it's not strong

The lift isn't as high as a few other cam's out there... such as the T-Rex or MS3... don't see why it wouldn't fit stock heads The compression ratio shouldn't change unless you use dish/domed pistons and/or different head gaskets or milled heads etc etc. Just swapping out cam's wouldn't effect it.

I think the stock pistons are plenty strong enough, too many people out there running a butt load of horsepower on stock shortblocks

I just put this cam in my car and its very driveable on the street and has a KILLER sound, my old cam was an MTI X1 (230/227) and I made over 18 more rwhp with stock heads, LS1 manifold and stock TB

Jason...its a badass cam, thanks

They said they gained 18 rwhp over a 230/227 camshaft, not a 231/237.

I would expect with such a small difference in duration and lift between the 231/237 and 233/239 that the difference would be somewhere around 5-10 rwhp max...

sounds like this may be the one for me. Is this cam a pavement pounder at idle, cause that is what I want. I want it to thump like the hot cam well a little harder than that.

This will thump WAY harder than a hot cam... the hot cam idle is lumpy, but not really that loud. My cam's idle is lumpy and VERY loud, so I imagine this one will be very similar.

I can verify there result's.A customer of mine ran the 231/237 Cam and switched to a 233/239 cam.He gained 20hp/10tq everywhere. The 233 actually idled alot better and drivability was better on his A4 car.
