Default AFR's

Haven't seen many 1/4 mile times with AFR's, but very good dyno #s. Why aren't people posting their 1/4 times. I have seen several post on different web boards of people saying that they are going to the track to get some 1/4 times, but never post them. I am starting to wonder

I asked the very same question over on the Corvette Forum. I would also like to see some 1/4 mile times with AFR Heads.

I would like to see someone else 1/4 times other than Tony. He sells the heads so I wouldn't think he would not up to par 1/4 mile times. I am not doubting his times, just want to see other people post some 1/4 times. Alot of people have these heads are their cars.

Same here. Went to track last day of the year. 45 degrees, misty, wet track, running pilot sports. I couldn't get any traction. best 60' 2.335. 13.4 @ 117mph. Spinning the wheels in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all the way. When spring comes and I put my CCW drag package on, I'll be in the elevens.

I have been watching the AFR heads for quite some time now too. My combo
is mild: MTI Stealth cam, unported LS6/Z06 Heads and LG Long Tube Headers.
With an A4 and 3.42 gears I am running 11.6's @ 121MPH with lousy 1.72 60' and
with Density Altitude of 1500 feet. I think in good air with traction the car will
run 11.40s. So far even tony's car isn't that much better, yet. Even with a better
cam and heads than I have. I will hold off on both the FAST intake and AFR heads
for now. I think my biggest bottle neck is the small throttle body. By the way,
the car dynoed at 412 RWHP which is way lower than what most AFR guys are
getting.

We have sold quite a few sets and will be installing them in January. Tracks here are all closed so we'll have to wait until spring. Looking at the shapes of these dyno curves though I can tell you that these heads will perform very well at the track.
