Default 02 Sensor Problem

After I Installed My 5.3 Head/cam I Have One Through 2 Bank 2 Sensor 1 02 Sensor Within 5 Months.on Startup My Car Runs Rich But Then Leans Out,could This Be Causing This.also Can I Put 02 Sims In Place Of The Sensor(precat) Or Can I Only Put Them After The Cat(which I Already Have Installed)

No, you need a real o2 sensor if you plan on running your car in closed loop mode (normal street driving). If your car is running rich, but then leans out, maybe youre just not letting the o2s reach operating temp before driving? When you first start your car, you are in open loop mode, which does not listen to the o2 sensors because theyre too cold to function properly. The stock open loop tune will be marginally safe (read: rich). As the car heats up and the o2 sensors start switching corretly, you switch to closed loop mode, which should bring you back inline (stoich, or 14.7) .
