Welding it would most likely damage the coating.

JetHot just release a brand new 2-piece OFY. It's the exact same price as the 5-piece one and is currently available. I know this because our company sells JetHot headers.

The catted Y is a different story, it does come in 5 pieces because you can remove the cats. And yes, they are invisible once installed. I know that getting all the pieces lined up and tightened can take some time.

If you do get their y-pipe, dont use the crap u-bolt clamps, go buy some stainless band clamps for exhaust applications. They seal much better and are very good quality.

I JUST finished putting my JH LT's in with the catted y-pipe. Things went fairly smoothly, and the y-pipe wasnt too bad to install. Had to push and pull and line everything up really well, but other then that, it was pretty straight forward.

I thought the Y pipe SUCKS. it's not a Y pipe its a T pipe. also had to make an attachment for my die grinder to open up were the 2 pipes meet. there was approx 25% blockage due to the hole not being large enough where the pipes meet at the "T"
