Default What stall for a stock new GTO???

Getting a new GTO, and want to know what stall people are using for a stock (mostly) GTO. I plan on doing the converter and maybe an air intake only. Anyone have a setup like this?

TCI SSF 3500 or Yank SS3600...the TCI being cheaper...but I cant say that I honestly believe you would leave it stock LOL We cannot, and will not let that happen.

That is what I was thinking about a 35-3800 stall (probably like a single disc P.I. Vigilante that is really more like a 3600). I will leave it mostly stock since it will be a secondary daily driver. Camaro is fast enough for now!

Any more input?

My previous vertor was a VIG 2800 that was in the car when I bought it. It drove well, but I did not like how weak it hit. All I have 255 16 BFG Dr's, and I had a tough time tearing them up from a full throttle launch. And even with the vertor I still had a dead spot at around 40mph or so.

But not anymore.

Not that I wanted wheel spin when Im actually racing or anything, but Im just trying to give you an idea on how weak it was. It would turn the old Kuhmo's the car had before, but thats not really saying anything.

Good Luck with your decision.

A Vig3200 would be a great addition to a mostly stock car. I used to own one and it was by far my favorite converter. B&M will be offering a 3600 stall soon, I don't know how pressed you are about getting one, but it might be worth waiting for.

We have customers with gto's that are running the SS3600 and loving it.
Spoke to one the other day and he went 7tenths quicker with the converter swap.
