Default dont understand

this is my first time changing spark plugs on an ls1...i got to where i have to break them loose...how exactly do i do it i didnt understand the directions on install university...do i put the spark plug socket all the way on the plug?? and how do i "break it loose" pull back,down,foreward? any tips?

have you ever changed plugs on anyother kind of car, exactly the same, just with less area to work in, im guessing that "break it loose" doesn't mean to break them, just unscrew them out

Turn them counterclockwise (to the left). Make sure the engine is cool and have a long ratchet or breakerbar b/c they are tight due to the heating and cooling of the alluminum heads (I think that is why). Also put some never seeze on the new plugs threads when you install them. This will make it easier next time.
Also do a search on spark plugs there was a write up on here that helped me.
