Default New PB low 12's

Figured I'd post this past Weds results now that the track is closed til Jan. Hoped to break 12.1 or 12.0 but I will still take these on Nittos @ 16 PSI, bogging between 38-3900. Other passes were 12.32 @ 115.11 12.37 @ 114.62 and a 12.62 @ 115.57 on a 2.0 60' when I launched at 4200 and spun bad

DA was great we were -126 to -101 all night.

First pass, first cars on the track it was hookin all night 1.78-1.81 60's

R/T .863 <--
60' 1.780
330' 5.123
1/8 7.902
MPH 90.21
1000' 10.287
1/4 12.270
MPH 114.88

2nd

R/T .552 <--
60' 1.789
330' 51.08
1/8 7.882
MPH 90.61
1000' blank
1/4 12.226
MPH 114.98

3rd and best 12.2 of the night

R/T .695
60' 1.813
330' 5.089
1/8 7.868
MPH 90.58
1000' blank again
1/4 12.203
MPH 115.44

I am happy considering the 60' wasn't a 1.7 but if I was I am sure I'd probably see 12.1's or better I have Jan & Feb to do it.

Chris, it's moving these days and thanks Bob.

Caveman, we're in the midst of putting together a rental at Moroso for Jan and one in Feb. $40 per car again, and it's going to be probably 40 cars.

Let me know if you and Eric want in on it we'd love to have you all come down.

Claire, great times. Have you tried a higher PSI on those tires. I've always found radials to hook better with more air as they tend to crown when the pressure gets low. Again, congrats.

And, Oh yea, I'm down for a rental.

Eric, I haven't tried more air in them but I can next time out. I figured since they were 15" that I'd get more flex from a bigger sidewall. There is no doubt I am going to order some extra wheels maybe before this year is up and get a BFG on it. I don't think my clutch will hold an ET street but it might. We're still talking about what to go with but I am going to order a steel driveshaft seeing someone snapped one 8 days apart one BMP then yesterday poor guy Might as well get rid of the weak link if you know about it

I will PM you the dates when we set one up.

Try going up 1/2 lbs at a time and see what that does. I always believed that the stiff sidewall of a radial would bow the contact patch so the middle of the tire would arch away from the pavement. You may be at a good pressure, but it never hurt to experiment. The one thing for sure when I ran drag radials is to REALLY heat them up.

Cheers

Oh I got that covered, I think doin a burnout is probably just as much fun as my 1-2 shift is after spinning. Didn't ya see my burnout next to you? I stand them pretty good with no line lock

Hey Derek, I am still thinking about that. BTW, we're getting a track rental together for Moroso as well. I will PM you the details when I set it all up.

$40 like BMP, both lanes...etc etc. Track has been hooking hard. I haven't cut 1.7's since sometime last year in the cooler, drier air.

Thanks Guys, I got more improvement to go but I will get there

Cool, videos are even better. Im surprised you need to rev that high. Im still with the stock limiter and shift around 6200 or lower. Cant wait to shift at 6800 like its supposed to.

Any difference in traction with the 15" nittos compared to the 17" ones? Sounds like you need to get the air pressure figured out. A lot of people say they hook best with 20-22 psi. I had good luck with 20psi when I had 16" nittos. Anything less and they didnt feel right.
