How soft are shifts with Vig 2800. I'm interested in getting a Vig 2800, but what about the shifts. I see some people with it getting a shift kit. Is this really necessary?

It's not that bad, I don't have a shift kit. It'll be a lot softer than stock, especially below about 20% throttle. However you'll most likely need tuning so you can have your shift adaptation and pressure bumped up a bit to firm up part throttle shifts.
