Default Broke 2 Wheel Studs from Rear!

Broke 2 wheel studs from the rear! Is there anyway I can replace them without opening the gear box/ differential cover and taking out the axles? Thanks!

Just knock 'em out of there with a mallet!

Just take the rotor off and use a hammer to knock the old studs out. Then slide the new stud in from the back, and use a spare open-ended lug nut (NOT the lug nuts you use to mount the wheel) with a couple of washers between it and the axle flange (to keep from gouging the flange face) and crank down on it until it pulls the stud all the way in.

Yeah, I made the mistake of using the cheap factory lug nuts. Boy was that a mistake. I totally ruined the part where it goes into the rotor.

If you have Traction Control you can just pound them out. If you don't, you need to pull the axles.

The procedure is the same regardless whether the car has ASR/TCS or not. You don't need to pull the axles.
