Default Banging issue with MACs

Midlength guys, are you having any rattling and banging
like that associated with alot of LTs?
What setup are you running behind the Macs(which Y+cats)
I have a 1" drop on mine so I'm looking to avoid as much scraping
and banging as possible.

THANKS

I had MACs and no problems with scraping or banging. I used the MAC y-pipe with bullet mufflers instead of cats and it worked great. I highly suggest them. If you want to run a catted y-pipe I suggest getting a MAC ORY then buy some Carsound cats and have them welded in.

I have the Mac headers, cats and y-pipe that I bought as a set. The shop I took my T/A to had no problems installing the header set whatsoever. I have no issues with banging or any issues with fitment. My T/A is lowered 1.25 in.

I am very happy with the whole situation.Great improvement power wise too.

If you have MAC's with EGR and AIR provisions they have been known to cause a rattle type noise under the hood. The EGR tube on the passenger side will sometimes rattle against the header (happend to me). Also the y pipe has been known to bang the floor under acceleration, just have to adjust on it until you get it not to bang.

There is a ton of adjust with a MAC y-pipe. Need to tinker with it till you get it in the right position.

I have a used set of MAC's and catted y-pipe on mine.
Eibach prokit springs.
No rattles or bumps.

It wasn't hard to adjust at all. I also have poly mounts which cuts down on movement, and a bmr k-member which aids in clearance around the k-member.

My Mac ORY used to bang the first time I installed it, but I took it completely apart (breaks down to 2 peices) and when I put it back on the car I left the bolts that hold the 2 peices loose till I had everything else tight then adjusted them and tightened them down, no more banging.
