Hi guys, I finally got my NX kit installed but I'm pinging when I spray & want to figure out what may be causing the problems.

I have a
NX EFI kit
NX bottle warmer
NX purge

I currently still have the TR55 plugs in the car, have less that 500 miles on them (just did heads a couple months ago) so I'm thinking that may be part of the problem. The other thing that has me wondering is the jets. I was send the jets for a LT1 according to the chart on NX's site. I have a 52 n2o & a 31 fuel jet. I would think this would be safer since the fuel for the LS1 is a 28 jet.

I'm not sure if I am assuming correctly that the bigger the number the higher the flow rate, please correct me if I am wrong.

I just had the car tuned at MTI but not while on the N2O. I did however tell Jayson that I would be spraying 100 shot on the car & he pulled timing to account for that. (I lost 0 power when he did this N/A :D)

If anything here seems obvious to you N2O vetrans, please inform me of what actions to take to correct my problem.

Thanks!

The obvious guess would be your getting detonation. You need to put it on a wideband and Tech-2. I say that but Im lucky I have direct access to both of those. Exactly hom much timing do you have at WOT? Im interested in figuring this out!

I'm about 90% sure Jayson set it at 26 degrees down from the 29 or so it was tuned at before.

Number 1 - get the TR 6's. Second get it back on the dyno/wide band O2. You are asking for major problems if you are getting ping. What kind of gas are you using? 26 degrees of timing is fine with 100 shot. Really sounds like you are leaning out bad if you can hear the ping from inside the car.
