Listen to this, i just talked to an old friend of mine in florida, and he was telling me that he ran his 1997 LT1 Trans Am with ram air at the track and did a 13.7 @ 98! I really cant believe that, a factory stock lt1 ram air running 13.7. He said he's going to scan me his time slip. By the way its an A4. What you guys think?

I ran a 14.0 @99 mph with a 2.2 60 ft with a muffler only, so yeah I think so. He may have had a better launch than me and it is cool down here right now! Come down to Fla I'll run my lt1 against you!!

My buddies bone stock 1997 Formula A4 ran a 13.7 on shitty General 245 tires. I saw it with my own eyes.

yea but im saying a totally stock lt1, like no intake, no tires nothing. That's awesome though

Easily possible. There are a ton of LT1s that run 13s bone stock. There are a few A4s that can hit 13.6s stock to the filter. I thought this was common knowledge... I guess some of you guys really do underestimate LT1s.

My stock 1994 Z28 auto went 13.7@98 with a 1.99 60' on a perfect track day almost 2 years back

14.9 @ 94.4 w/ cai only. way up here lt1s are usually more than one full sec. slower. seems pretty reasonable

Easily done. A strong LT1 F-body will run high to mid 13s all day long BONE STOCK. Why does this seem so far fetched? Thats right on target and actually his trap speed is on the low side for a stock LT1 F-body.

Now for the magazine articles (you guys knew I was going to bring them up didn't you ) I have my Spring 2004 Issue of Camaro Performers in front of me. They ran 13.8 @99 1.98 60' with a bone stock down to the paper filter '94 Z28 A4 with 120K on the clock. In the other hand, just to really show what an LT1 can do, I have my September 1992 issue of Vette magazine where they ran 13.21 @107.33 with a bone stock 92 LT1 M6 Vette Boy I bet I'm gonna get alot of flags from that one, but I am looking at it right now.

Yes, a 12.8 with an LS1 is believable, but 50 hp down and a high 13 is IMPOSSIBLE.
