Depends on the size of the cam...on sticky tires from a dig, you'd get him out of the hole. After that, it is up to the skill of the Z06 driver and how much power you are pushing to the ground. An '02 Z06 has the power, and more importantly, the weight to do some serious damage stock, let alone modified. If he can't drive worth a damn, he sure as hell won't outrun a computer (as in the one that is shifting your car) unless he is making a good bit of power.

The Z06 SHOULD win if he gets any hint of traction, but than again, I have seen 13 second camaros beat 500rwhp cobras so anything can happen if he's that bad at driving

if you have a stall converter a cam and boltons meaning exhaust cold air and headers i am voting for you and again it depends upon what size cam and stall you have but you should be running about 13's stock with your converter and cam that will take a big chunk of advantage away and your bolt ons i would say would put you past him unless hes running some DR's or something which again would make it a close race depending on your setup but if you picked one of the cams and converters i would pick you should win

if u lose ill sale my camaro dude! just make sure u get traction whatever point u start from... that cam is a widely popular cam and puts down really good numbers from what ive seen for its size, i have the same stall without that cam and just my mods in the sig and outta run 7.70's/12.20's next time out lol, i think you'll be fine! as long as you have tuning and all he has is just exhuast!

If he hardly ever drives the car, you should hold your own quite nicely. Unless he is a pro stock driver in his spare time

I would be surprised if you don't win. I beat my buddy z06 at the track. He was bone stock, and I had just bolt-ons and 4.10s. Both of us were running street tires. With you having a cam and converter, you should be able to get out on him pretty quickly and hold him off up top.

I had about the exact same mods as you did on my Camaro. If you race in the 1/4 mile it will be close. If you race from a roll on the street the Z06 should take you if he can drive. Race him and find out. Good luck.

It's ashame you are all of the way in OK, or I'd run you with my 280rwhp cobra It only ran 12.1@104, and I have the vid to prove it .

Z06's trap 114-116(118 even) stock and run low 12's (witnessed a couple break into the 11's bonestock down to the paper filter also) and your cammed camaro should be running low/mid 12's at around 110-114.

I'm guessing your raced him, so just how bad did you lose by, and did you get your loss on vid???

If I ever get up to PA I'll shoot you a pm and we can set something up. I've always wanted to drive up there and check the state out. Last time I went I didnt even get to take a look around before my next flight left.

Why should he be pissed...Your cammed with a 3000 stall and ET Streets vs. his cat. back Z06 and you only beat him by two cars...That sounds like the outcome I would expect...

Tires make all the difference in the world from a dig...Didn't want to try a roll on with his Z???

Peace...Gman

Sounds about right...it takes a lot of power to overcome a deficit out of the hole. That's why I hate running AWD cars from a dig.

:
a camaro with that cam, stall and full boltons should be EASY 11's trapping in the 114-117. hell a bolton only ls1 car can get mid-low 12 @110-112. ive seen it.

Hey Brandon, did you have DR's with your old setup, or street tires?

the 224 cam is a relatively mild cam for LS1's these days, but I see you ran him and won. Nice Kill Im sure those tires made the difference...
