Default Kooks vs QTP - ground clearance

Any pics or input is appreciated. From what I have read it seems that Kooks clearance is hard to beat. Also any input on the Kooks y-pipe, QTP seems to have some fitment issues.

For ground clearance you should be fine with both. Don't have either, but I have heard that when I was shopping.

I have never found a y-pipe that fit perfectly for anything though.

Truth. I don't think I'm going to buy a new one. I'll just modify the one MTI made for my Dynatechs.

These headers seem to both be excellent quality, I'm getting whichever is cheaper.

Both QTP's and Kook's have the same design and clearance. Just purchase which ever is cheaper!

I have QTP's, and I don't see how they can be beat for fitment. They tuck up under the car as tight as they can go without hitting anything under acceleration. This pic isn't at the right angle but it's all I have from my intall pics.

i run the QTP... i had no fitment issues at all..they fit just right.. i have heard that those that have fitment issues is mostly because they cant get the car off the ground high enough to work comfortably... you cant beat that true merge collector.. thats one of the reasons i got it..
here is a pic of how much clearance i get from the ground with my QTPs ... cant you see its a few feet

I went ahead and got the QTPs w/ the merge collector. I'll get some dyno numbers with my Dynatech stepped headers with merge collectors, then with the 1 7/8 QTPs with merge collectors.

I got the 1 3/4 QTP's with the HVMC option and I love them for their perfect fitment. I haven't dyno'd them yet, but seat of the pants they feel stronger. Just have your own Y made up at a good exhaust shop, you'll be happier with the results.
