Default Tire help

I need a new set of tires for my car (275/40-17). Right now I have BFG KDWs but they are so expensive I would like something else that is cheaper but is still a good tire. Also these tires have a protective lip to protect the wheel I would like for the new tires to have that also

Thanks

I've got a pair of Nittos NT555 up front and they have the protective lip like you mention, however they go for about $210 a piece. I've got a friend at Discount Tire who can give you a good deal. By the way, how the hell did you manage to wear out the front tires before the rears?

I have had the front tires for 2 years now and the back tires are only 6 months old. I thought about getting the BFGs again but they run $210 a piece too. I'm thinking of going with kumos since they seem to be a good tire and aren't as expensive.

Hook me up Joe

Red,

I've got a hook up at a dealer in Ft.Worth. I'm getting Sumitomo's for 120.00 each in the 275/40/ZR 17's.

Let me know if your interested and I'll get ya the info. I used a set of Hankook's on the patrol car for a full year and they lasted great. Traction was pretty good and the ride was decent....just can't find em anymore. So...I'm gonna death test the Sumi's.

Let me know on the type of tire you're interested in and I'll see how much it'll be.

well I went and picked up some tires today. I got a good price on a set of Kumos so it all worked out. To tell the truth I was surprised at how nice these tires are.
