Obviously 276hp

Well with the breaking of the gentlemens agreement by Honda (of all the manufacturers I figured conservative Honda would be the second to last to break the agreement as only Toyota is more conservative IMO) we'll get a true power rating. The previous gen car was rated at 276hp but I'd wager it was making 300-320ish. I'd guess Blitzen will do about the same for this car whether or not its powered by an EJ20 or an EJ25. Both engines are easily capable of a low 300hp power rating as we've seen in the WRX STi and other previous JDM Turbo Scoobies that never came stateside.

That's a rather upscale-looking grille. Kind of reminds me of the new Audi grille.

Yea it does look very Audi-ish. FWIW though the Subaru Legacy STi with ~350hp is aimed right at the Audi S4 by Subaru's own admission.

I would love to see this car here int he states.... And since GM owns a good share of Subaru you don't feel AS guilty buying a Subbie as you would say a Mitsu or similar.

That's a pretty good lookin' car. Too bad it's got 4-doors (not a big fan of 4-doors). The front grill looks sort of Ford-like. If they make a 2-door version, I might be interested.

That Japanese car companies would not excede 276hp.

Basically a bullshit agreement that no Japanese manufacturer would produce a road vehicle with more than 276hp. Obviously it was crap with the performance some of Japan's finest automobiles were capable of despite a few of them having hefty curb weights (R34 GT-R, 3000GT/GTO) and despite increases in torque over the years with year to year upgrades but no increase in the hp rating. It was theoretically to keep the Japanese manufacturers from entering a hp war. TOO LATE. So while on paper cars like the NSX, WRX STi, Evo, FD RX-7, RB powered Skylines etc... were rated at 276hp, everyone and their mama knew it was BS. Honda finally said **** it with the latest iteration of its Legend (RL) and will sell it with an honest 300hp rating in Japan. You can bet the rest of the Japanese manufacturers will follow suit.
