Default OK to run injector upgrade a while before tune ?

Trying to do a injector upgrade - damn quick disconnect fuel line ! !
(learning the "quick" part is a play on words).
Anyway, I have an '00 and I am going to the '01-'02 injectors to handle the cycle loads that I will be putting out with the cam, heads, headers, etc. that I now have on the car.
My question is:
Is it OK to run the new injectors for a while before a tune ?

Reason is, I'm trying to get that done now but probably won't be able to get a tune for a few weeks......would be just weekend type of driving but the tune would be a ways off.

Help ?

You will be fine with those injectors without tuning.

the pcm should see the o2 sensor readings and see that its running a little rich and compensate for it. you would probably run into trouble if you jumped from say a 26 lb injector to a 40 lb injector because it would be really rich and would set an ses light and would take alot time for the computer to shorten pulse width enough to make it run right. but your only increasing what 2-4 lbs an hour? it'll probably never notice.
