Default (Duplicate) Help regarding brakes

I just noticed a grinding sound coming from my T/A. A few months ago, I had to have my front breaks and rotors replaced and at the shop (Dick Keifer, GM) said that really soon, I'm going to have to have my back replaced as well. Assuming that this grinding sound is my breaks and rotors, how much should I be paying to have them replaced? I'm feeling sick to my stomach.

I bought the car 7 months ago with 27,000 miles. So far I've had to do the following:
30K mile maintenance;
Front passenger side headlight replaced; and
Front Brakes and rotors replaced.

I'm a little bit above 36,000 miles. I'm getting pissed because it seems like there are alot of problems happening. Is this normal maintenace or should I start worrying?

It dosent look like you are having many problems except for the faulty headlight and the brakes. I dont think you have anything to worry about, Although next time you change rotors I think you should opt for a different type because the general concensus is that GM rotors and not very well made. Again dont worry.

Do your own brakes. They couldn't be any easier. It's been a while since I've done a LS1 brake job, but if I recall right you can do the fronts for about $80. GM rotors suck *** by the way.

Everything you listed is normal. FWIW, I replaced the front brakes 4 times before 30,000 miles.

Just the driver's side. Go to Autozone. Replace that yourself too.
