Default '98 to '99+ PCM swap

I want to swap my '98 PCM for a '99+ one. If I got a standalone harness from speartech and ran all autometer guages would this swap be possible? Would it be a matter of just swaping harnesses and then setting up the autometer guages? Thanks.

why do you want to swap? the 98 comptuer is not as limited as most people think it is.

Because I want to spray a large dry shot and the '99+ PCM is better suited for that.

just save the money and repin your stock harness, it will be wayyyyy cheaper than that aftermarket harness and its not hard at all , maybe 2 hours of work at the most if you take your time. jes

Where can I find instructions to do the reconfiguration of the 98 cable to work with the 99+ PCM?

Have you done this?
