Anything galvanized, and even aluminized with eventually rust-usually from the inside-out. Do it once, use stainless

Check out Burns Stainless. They just used Iconal for some super lightweight headers. Isn't Iconel used in pots or knives or something? You can get pipe kits to fab up your headers from Burns too.

As for myself I mock it up with the cheap stuff and then send it to a tube bender for the final stuff in stainless.

If you are gonna have the headers ceramic coated, which you should, than regular aluminized pipe will work, hooker and hedman both sell boxes of aluminized bends you can use, and that is what most custom header builders use, than once the headers are fabricated, they send them out to be ceramic coated....inside and out.

Most boat trailers come in Galvanize, they will not rust, but i have not heard of a header that comes in it. At least get coated headers to keep the temps down and the rust, but if you want the best, stainless by far.
