Default Will high flow cats add power to my exisiting set up??

My mods are listed below!! I recently got a p0430 which is a catalytic defficincy.
I am thinking of just getting 2 new random technology high flow cats and 02 sims.

Shoud I also get the y pipe that comes with it??

will these 2 cats alone add horse power??

They will definately add HP over stock. Probably only 5-7 hp. But if your current cats are high mileage, and falling apart or anything, then you should definately notice a difference. I can't believe some of the crap I have seen fall out of stock cats.

Althought don't use random tech cats, they are total piles of ****. They will blow out in less than 20k. I used to use them all the time in Grand Prixs until every install became problematic down the road.

Use carsound or magnaflow (both the same) cats instead. Much cheaper, flow better, and I've never seen one blow out.

I have 2.5 and 3.0 inch cats in stock most of the time.

I had a carsound cat blow out yesterday. It was on the car for about 5000 miles. I think I'm just gonna ditch the cats and go with an ory now.

Off road (y) pipe. Basically where the cat would be, its a straight pipe.

ORY is definately the way to go if you want the most HP. But it usually makes for a loud and/or raspy exhaust. If you want a great sounding car, and dont mind sacrificing the 5-8 hp for high flowing cats, then a catted y-pipe is the way to go.

It just depends on your personal preference

your car will sound like complete **** if you remove your cats. I guess the other people that posted didn't know that you have a LoudMouth on.

I have some 3" magnaflow cats for sale if you decide to go that route. Much cheaper and flow is almost the same.

Do the high flow cat's still remain emissions legal, or are they just as illegal as ORY? Also, what's the HP difference between getting a catted Y or just putting on high flow cat's (mind you I am still running the stock Y and cat's)?

Didn't mean to butt in, but I think this could still contribute to this thread
