Default GMMG Chambered Exhaust

They sound really nice and clean and it makes your exhaust appearance nearly invisible but, how much flow do they have and how do they perform? I might need as much info as possible since i'm trying to run tests on which exhaust I should run on my car. I'm gettin sick of my Flowmaster 80 series muffler.

All I can say as far as flow is that I only gain about 5rwhp when I open my cutout as opposed to going through my GMMG.

Search much?

GMMG flows rather well. I wouldn't go so far as saying its the best flowing, but it won't choke your setup whatsoever. Just get ready to shell out some $$$ for it.

Most people - like me - buy it for sound. I'm sure it flows as well or better than most other catbacks. But it's the deep, rich, sound and lack of rasp that sells most folks on it.

I have it on my mostly otherwise stock (except for CAI) LT1 and it sounds MEAN as f*ck when you rev it up. Can't wait to get the headers on it now. Sounds pretty damn beefy on my LS1 as well...

BTW, it has been dyno tested to be one of the best flowing aftermarket systems on both stock and heavily modified cars...Usually only loses just a few horses to a cutout on high horsepower set-ups, which is pretty damn impressive...

It also happens to look great under the car with those chambered pipes IMO as well.

If you want to spend that much money, you have a pair of headers and half your way on TDs.

I believe its $700 + shipping for the system with just normal slash tips on it and an extra $150 for polished oval stainless steel tips. I heard the GMMG in person on both ORY and LT's and stock and it sounded great. loud when you take a stab of the pedal but nice at idle and cruising around. It was just too expensive for my Blood.

It's pricey and not for everyone, but the sound is second to none (IMO)...I have never regretted spending the cash on the GMMG and it ranks just behind H/C as my favorite mod!

Yea, I only want to do my exhaust one time around so I went for Kooks SS Headers and their ORY, and will hopefully be getting GMMG here in a month or two. Expensive for many but hell, its better than going through 3 different systems trying to find a cheaper acceptable sound.

When I had my SLP LTs, I was running the RT cats...I swapped out for Kooks and ORY, but I haven't started the car yet as other mods are taking place. I'm also adding a Borla XR-1 to the I-pipe...I'll let you know how it sounds.
