TCI 3800...and some questions..
Well it is finaly time to get the converter this month, and I am getting a TCI 3800 stall Super Street Fighter.
Questions:
1.) What will be the drivability?
2.) Not running drag radials on the street how bad will traction be. (Roast them now anyway)
3.) Estimated ET gain?
4.) How hard on the transmission/rear end? (Heard rumors that a good hook will break something.
5.) What has been your experience?
I know I need to get a trans cooler, and plan to get the largest one the will fit.
Mods that will be on the car at the time of Install:
BMR LCA's
BMR Subframe Connectors
HAL QA1 12-way shocks
Lid/LT Headers with ORY/3.73
A badass tune, and for the track BFG DRs
Oh and a BADASS Tune from Jeremy at Fasterproms!
Thanks guys, the search didn't turn up what I was looking for.

I ran that converter in my 99 ta , it is a great converter for street strip,I had no prblems driving it everyday was great , I had it tuned with ls1 edit and made the converter lock around 40mph for drivability , it does hit the tires hard off the line. With stock supension and 10.5in 26 mickey tom street slicks the best i could muster was high 1.5s in the 60ft department. My car was a bolt on car , full weight that dynoed only 342 at the rear wheels my car would run 11.80s on partial throttle launches at 112/113mph , I suppose if you have some suspension on the car you could hook it upno problem with some good tires. By the way I was running 342s in the stock rear . I think you will love the converter , its a great buy for the money..
