For the last 4 years I have been auto crossing a 99 Honda Prelude Type SH in DSP, and will be making a major change this season to ESP in a 98 Trans AM M6. While this is not my first f-body, see my sig ;), this will be my first one that’s getting turn fast and stop fast mods in addition to go fast mods. On the Prelude I was running Hawk HP+'s, Brembo slotted rotors and Goodrich steel lines. I loved the stopping power, but the Hawk's were way too noisy for daily driving, and produced a ton of break dust.
So basically, I'm not asking what's the "best," because everyone has their opinions, I'm asking what have you used, and what did you like / dislike about those particular items both on course and for daily driving, as I will most likely be daily driving my TA far the next few months.
Thanks in advance for the help.

All performance pad compounds that are worth anything are gonna howl(when cold) and make dust . Its the nature of the beast. If you want clean shiny wheels and not be annoyed by the sound, I recommend wash your wheels daily ,wear earplugs and turn up the Music.

ROFL, that's what I did in the Prelude. Got some funny looks from people at stoplights. So would you just say that the Hawks are a good choice the F-body as well? That was the direction I was leaning in, but didn't know what others thought.
Thanks for the response.

I have never used Hawk pads.

You should be fine with Hawk HPS pads. I've heard that they are not as noisy nor as dusty as the HP+ pads. I've used to HP+ for a while now,,, I experienced very litle noise but they do make some dust as you said, nothing too terrible though. Maybe it's a bit different on different cars.
