Default This VW got killed...

...by his owner.

This is WAAAAYYYY worse than that SRT-4 idiot doing his oil change by removing the filter and running his engine...

LOL I posted that 10 min before you did. It's in Multimedia Exchange cuz I didn't know where to put it. Anyways I can't believe that someone would actually do that. Could be a fake.

*Edit* Straight from the orig guys mouth..or is it fingers?..." Oh well. I probably needed a new engine anyway. "

I thought he was just screwing with people until he said he listened to his friend on ClubSi......explains it all....

The sad thing is, there's a guy here in town who figured that if adding a bottle of 104+ octane boost made you quicker, that by running a case by itself he could out run an R6. Well it sounded bad as hell and flew for the first like 10 feet....then he too heard a loud bang and found bits of metal under his car......

Wow some people are just plain stupid
Step 1:Rinse with water
Step 2:Add Slick 50 hold at 5000
Step 3: well i probably need a motor anyway

This guy is so stupid....does he really have a VW? VW guys are USUALLY at least a LITTLE smarter than Civic owners.... but I guess anything can happen...

I read the whole thread and I must say this guy's got *****. If you want cliff notes:

Gumby destroys his engine with water and a lack of oil.

Gumby buys new engine and turbo kit but declines installation.

Gumby destroys turbo and other various parts by drilling oil lines while oil pan is still connected to engine.

Gumby (with help) completes car and is running a 6psi.

Pretty good read, reminds me of "The Puppy Who Lost His Way."

My motor then starting making this really loud knocking noise, which followed with a loud bang, and the engine shut off.

I'm afraid to try and restart it. What do you think it could be?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
than the other response from one of the members:

Thats just the Slick 50 kicking in!
Just crank it over, ignore any noise you might hear.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

no, these lines got me busting so damn hard, lol.

That's just messed up, haha. Oh, that hurts to laugh that hard. Now that's just too much.

C'mon guys... you must not know anything about VeeWee motors at all. THEY LIKE WATER! I frequently rinse my engine out with boiling water. His problem is he forgot to mix it with dishwashing detergent. Thats the key. It really cleans out the inside of the engine, and adds lubrication. Because he drained the oil and just put water in there, there wasn't enough lubrication and there was friction inside the block, and then it blew. With dishwashing detergent, it gets nice and soapy and lubricated, so there is no rubbing or nothing. Thats the key...
