LS6 Heads+Hot Cam
anyone try the LS6 CNC heads together w/either the LS1 hot cam, or the ASA? If so, how you like it. Thinkin' about this set-up in my 99 LS1! Any input would be appreciated.

yeah, it sounds like a strong combo on paper, gmpp has predicted right at around 500 horses with this combo, just wonderin' has anyone seen any real world #'s. I want to mod but I also want to keep everything all General. Not really tryin' to acheive to much more than 500 horses for the street. Nowadays 500 horses is almost average on the street up here in the Motor City.
Thnx for the info fellas/gals

heads are around 2k and cam is is like 360 sdpc carries these parts at the the lowest prices ive seen. one good thing is you dont have to change valvesprings so that will save you money in the long run.

Just tryin' to keep it all General, it's a good thing to me to use the parts that were designed for that engine. Not really trying to win NHRA or anything, just tryin' to match up a good reliable, economocal, combo that works well together and acheives good power. Key words, "works well together".

There are also plenty of people making more than 415+ RWHP that don't have to change springs all that much.
And as for being a strong combo, wouldn't something making 30+ more RWHP be an even stronger combo?
Okay, maybe the difference won't be THAT much, but even if you look at the cost of changing springs TWICE (paying someone to do it even) the RWHP is WELL worth it.

Think it'll make for a nice sleeper don't u? Although I have been told the ASA cam is kinda
lopee.

Like I said above.....that is the max I would hope for....but would be keeping my on eye on a lower number.
