Good to hear your car is up and running and ready to race JS. I got a question for you. Why doesn't ATCO have a schedule on their web site?

I'm excited Tom,I'm looking for 10.70's out of this mild setup come the end of Jan.I wanna build a new motor for the car over next winter,I wanna go 9's ALL MOTOR like u and Mikey and the few others that have done it.I just dont know what I'm going to build or buy.Could be a stout 370CI or perhaps a 427 LS2 but for sure my new goal for 06 is N/A 9's :devil:

I'm not making any internal or external engine upgrades this year. I'm racing in 05 the way the car ran in 04 and go have some fun. I could add a sheet metal intake, bigger TB and upgrade my 12.85 to 1 CR ls6 heads to a higher compression ratio. This might net me 2 tenths but I'm not interested in spending anymore cash $$ on this car this year. I just want to install those solid motor mounts and go racing :) It's a fun ride the way it is. :)

All I added is a mid plate"done", solid motor mounts"to be installed this week" and poly trans mount "done". Thats it. I'll add a front motor plate later on in 05 when I have the time.

Anyway, I was thinking of going to ATCO or Cecil or MIR in early feb. and try and cut a good ET if the weather permits. Maybe a 9.7X

Most of the tracks I run at are above 1,000' in altitude. I never get - DA's. I'm lucky to get into the + 3 digit DA's.

I think the car will run a 9.7X because my best ET was 9.83 at +1,100 DA or so. I just love to bench race :devil: :jest:

U come to Atco in Feb and you'll get your 9.7XXXX pass or even alittle better :) I know what u mean about the $$$ w/the car,If I buy a GTO them they'll be no 9's for me,I just cant afford to spend that kind of $$$$.

What is the best race day for hooking at ATCO? Hotels close by?

I went to atco once, but know a lot of people that race there. i hooked out of the hole, but seemed the rest of the track was junk. alot of people tell me its hit or miss, and alot of serios racers tell me the groove is very small, and easy to fall out of. but its a fast track.
like i said i only went once, and i have seen some real fast times come from there, but JMO

U wanna go on a bracket day,or a Q8 day...(Track Prep is Awesome)
Try and go in the 1st few months they reopen as they dont get big turnouts until April.

Figure any Sat/Sun in the next few months.
Theres hotels up and down 73.....
