buying ls1(what to look for?)
i tried a search and even looked at jerami's list and it had some answers to my questions but want some more feedback,i work on vw's for a living but they are totally different and every car has their weak points and trouble areas so i was wondering what you guys that are shopping or that had them for a while think,i know about the piston slap and oil comsumption from here and 2 friends that have ls1's and i think is a pretty fuc*%@ up problem but i want the car, anything else i should beware of?

havent had the motor go out on mine (knock on wood), and i dont notice squeaks or rattles too much, you can feel the ttops bounce a little when driving on the highway, the back squeaks a little i think its the bushings are dry, gonna put some white lube on them, my dads 94 Z28 rear hatch rattles like a ****, i dont see how he can stand it, even tryed adjusting the rubber stops to put some pressure on the hatch to quiet it down, its quieter but still noticable, some say SFC and STB can help eliminate the noise others have said it makes it worse

Sub-frame connectors got rid of almost every rattle, except in the real cold and I have T-tops.
Window motors are annoying to replace, interior lights on the HVAC and tape/cd player will go out eventually, oil consumption, warped brake rotors are all I can think of.
BTW, piston slap does nothing except sound like **** at start-up btw, and I don't have it if you didn't get that from JRP's faq.
