Just wondering what people think. I really like the stock look of the Silver ZR1's on my 96 Black SS. But Im considering something different. I want to keep the original rims so that I can return it to stock so painting them is out. But I was thinking about going with some Black Zr1's from the grandsports but then I found these on ebay. What do you guys think? Silver Black or Gunmetal???

PS - whats the widest tire that would fit on a Zr1 (17x9.5)

I'd get the black. Black on gunmetal would hurt the look of the wheels IMO. It'll look faded. Go with the black on black look...it's hot.

Also, why only 9.5"????? You'll sincerely regret not getting 11" wide rims in the back once you see some 17x11's in person. I'm very happy with mine. Looks meaty.

315/35/17 is the widest you can go on a 9.5" rim. 285 is the widest I personally would go, though.

I just chose 9.5 cuz that was what I saw on ebay; I would like to run a reasonable size tire on the back -without running into any "fitting issues". The wider the better but I dont want to have to "massage" anything. i was thinking 295 on the back. Id really like to use some nitto 555 tires; could you even drive an LT1 in the rain with those? thats my only concern. Anywho; Thanks for all the thoughts. (i still cant tell what i want black or gunmetal lol- im currently playing with photoshop)
