Default aftermarket coils

Does anybody make an aftermarket coil for the ls1? Im going to have to buy all 8 so im wondering whats out there?

supposedly MSD does, but honestly you don't need anything more than a stock coil.

You'll be wasting your money buying aftermarket, since they are listed at about twice the price, not available yet anyway, and not needed.

And yes, I run stock truck coils.

are the truck coils different then the f body or vette coils?

They are slightly smaller, mount differently, and have a different connector. That's the physical difference.

Electircally, they charge slightly faster and deliver a little more energy to the spark plug.

People have run the car coils into the 900HP range already, and i'm running the truck coils well beyond the 1kHP mark.

The truck coils require some mounting and a different coil harness to make them work, but they are cheaper

does the year or engine size matter? 6.0, 5.3?

The 5.3L coils are available with two different connectors-square and round. With the 'square' connector, there's no need to chop up wires.

are the square ones on the delphi or the mitsubishi coils?
