Lid is 100
Cut-out- 50

If you have an M6, Pro 5.0 and chop the shifter off 1/2 inch- 200

Good place to start.

I say lid, K&N air filter and a performance muffler and get just a muffler no the whole cat-back system waste of money. go with the Magnaflow muffler you will love the sound. I get mine from JEGS. With just these MODs my SS put down 336rwhp/349ft/tq on the dyno the other week!!! Then def get some SFCs.....

Bang for the buck go with gears and a cut out. In my opinion a cut out is the cheapest HP u will get and gears will get u into ur power curve quiker. Then do the all the free mods.

find some used headers and run a tru dual setup.. would be nite and day,

need to do a lid, and all the free mods ofcourse, but u want really feel these mods like u might by changing the exhaust.

do a gear, but u will want to recalibrate ur speedo which can range anything from 100$ or something for a speedo recalibrator to 400 for a predator or dyno tune while ur at it..
imo do the intake lid, exhaust first.

Lid, exhaust cut out in the I pipe and drag radials. Quality name brand premium fuel only.
And do ALL of the free mods (FRA, EGR mod, remove front sway bar and jack/spare, maybe remove the MAF screen, maybe not, etc.), see www.installuniversity.com for details.

When I first moded my car, I had a $400 dollar budget too. I got the Lid, SLP CAI (ram air) kit, and a flowmaster. I was VERY happy with it.

used dry nitrous kit!! thats bang for the buck baby!!!!

i'd have to agree with the other guys, do the free mods, buy a lid (a cheaper, not a clear/carbon fiber one to save money), filter. a cutout (electric if you dont plan on switching exhaust around soon), but manual will work. i agree with the pro 5.0 suggestion if you have a 6-speed, and i would save the money and get a good 3000+ stall if you have an automatic. good luck, and a few mods should hold you for a while

i will warn you though, if you do start, you wont be able to stop.

give us some info on your car, is it stock? 6 speed? auto? camaro? trans am? this site deals with more than just ls1's, we cater to any car with an ls1 in it (or just about anyother raggedy non-ls1 excuse for an automobile ).

Why would you waste your $$$ on a $300 catback? That's such a waste of cash, when a cutout does a better job of making power, is cheaper, and you still retain your quiet stock exhaust when you wanna go quiet....

Lid and cut-out. Don't be worried about a cut-out being TOO LOUD & RASPY with stock manifolds it's really not bad.
