I'd probably want to see the casting #'s on the heads before I even consider buying them. There are LS1 heads made for 97-98's which has perimeter bolts instead of center bolts, therefore it won't work in the newer cars '99 and up because the head design for the newer cars was changed.

Its a 97-98 perimeter head.That is Alabama Cylinder Head,Patriots parent company.It is legit.

Also, it was my understanding that center vs. perimeter bolts only affect the valvecover. The normal head bolts should be identical.

Ahh, I wasn't sure about the head bolts, thank you for the correction. I know that the valvecover was changed because the coil packs were changed from individual coil packs to a rail. I guess if you buy 97-98 heads and put them on 99' and up motors, you would have to use individual coil packs or do a bit of fabrication work to get the 99' and up coil pack rails secured to the valve covers. I guess you could use the relocation kit that ThunderRacing sells, and it wouldn't be a big problem.

Bingo!! Valvecovers have to match pattern, all head bolt patterns are identical.
