Default Dropping CR and effects on tune???

How far off tuning wise would it be to drop the CR from stock to say 8.5:1 all else being equal, stock cam etc? Would there be any noticeable side effects or no?

you will lose a little bottom end. I added a ton of timing and got back a lot of responsiveness. I am at 8.5-6:1 My timing is almost alway in the mid 30s to high 40s driving around normally.

less compression will have little more reversion, not going to be a huge issue with your cam. cablebandit, how is your PCV system setup?
