i have a 98 camaro with a a4 and mostly these all came with a al60e. However, mine came with a 4l65e...for wat i remember when i swapped the tranny out, the only really difference between the two is the bolt pattern. And of course the internals differ as well. But the bolt pattern needs to be addressed and as for the harness, the shift points should be compatible and it should all bolt and plug right it in. I do know that some trannies come with or wthout a neutral safety switch which could be a problem with your application.

your best bet is to call a authorized dealer and ask....they should know more about it

good luck!

Bolt pattern will be fine, the main problems you will run into will be the PCM and wiring harness, the LS6 was only mated with a 6-speed transmission. I would think the easiest route would be getting an LS1 PCM and wiring harness made for a automatic equipped vehicle. then have the PCM custom tuned for the LS6 performance. I believe the LS6 would run fine with an LS1 PCM but it would not run as well as it would if it was retuned. Good luck! hope that helps

im not sure in finland, but here in the states there are a few sponsor------------->>> companies that do a mail order tune that could help. I would try APE since i have nothing but great experiences with them. Ask for either nick or chris, they should help you out.
