the rammer hung with an 03 cobra
so last night, i'm rollin past the local hang out. i see a herd of horsies on the lot so i roll down the window, waiting to hear them rev. then i hear the whine!! so i pull over there and talk with 'em for about 30 minutes. really cool guys. so i ask if he wants to run. i just wanted to see how i'd do. long story short. we went from a a 40 roll and i held within a car to about 95. i was so proud of my little birdy. she didn't win, but she put up a fight.

what was ur best bone stock et? mine was 13.004 from a auto, no wieght pulled out on factory tires.. all for about 10grand less then an 03 cost oh the car had about ...1000 miles on it
oh and i only run the 1/4 3 times that nite, and then about 5 times one nite after i got some mods.. not doubt the times in the sig coulda dropped 1-2 tenths with some good air as it was very hot and muggy hehe
best 03 ive personally witnessed went 12.8x at like 109 but had a catback only. most of them do run slower in the 1/8th tho around here b/c of weight, traction, and driver mod.

it was a group of like 3 cobras. they were all cool. it was nice to talk to someone who had a real car for once. no aluminum wings and fart cans. and i got mad respect for the cobra. that's why i'm so pumped about staying close.

Now, my bonestock BEST et was a 12.6@113, race weight of 3865#'s, obviously no weight pulled, on my stock F1's, with 8000 miles. That's not really relavent though, other than you asking me. As far as the price goes, I'm the wrong person to use that argument. I bought my 03 cobra with 800 miles for 24,500 because the dealer advertised the wrong price in 3 different publications (ended up being 10 grand less than they actually wanted, 34,500, they just mistyped it and it got past whoever checks). EVEN if you are to use the price argument, not only is it stupid, but the price between a WS6, SS, and 03 cobra are +/- a couple grand. Not that big of a deal when were talking 30,000 +. If you use the "used" car argument, it's still stupid, because you are comparing a newer car, to an older car . That doesn't make much sense when comparing prices, now does it .
As to your second paragraph, great, I guess????
Lastly, this paragraph is the shocker (like I didn't know you were going to say, "oh yea, well I watched an 03 cobra run 14's so that's what they all run". Remember, what YOU see, one night that you attend a race track, is not what cobra owners around the nation/world are getting. OBVIOUSLY, not all LS1's are running 13.0's (however, my parents 99 Z28 vert A4 ran a 13.2, and my brothers WS6 ran 12.8). Please, go educate yourself on the svt boards, svtsnake.com, svtperformance.com, and modularfords.com and check out some times. The BEST time, I believe for an 03 cobra, has been done by MULTIPLE drivers in MULTIPLE areas, between the 03/04, and the best time is 12.4@114 that I have read about.

I bought my formy in Spring (when our cars should be highest priced) 03 for $10,500. It was supposed to be priced $16,499, but when I went in to ask about it they told me the price they were asking on a '99 Firebird v6 auto. We went through the whole negotiation process and went from 11,500 down to 10,500. I gave them $2,500 cash and a check for the other $8,000. It wasn't until I was driving off the lot they came running out yelling "wait wait wait" So I stopped, and we went on for about 2 hours about how they did a full write up with the VIN from the Formy and the price from the Firebird. Then my Mom (I bought the car with my money, not my Mom's money, jsut don't want to hear the, oh Mommy bought his son a car. No, I bought the car) being the ever intimidating woman she blew up on the people there. So I ended up with the Formy and the dealership ended up with about a $2,000 loss.

well i wasnt trying to start anything.. i was kinda just messing and asking a question.. 12.6 is good for a 03 with a predator and full exhaust, but maybe u got a freak.. newho, i got my car in a similar situation, well they just coudln't sale it cuase it had no options, wieghin in at a whopping 3500 stock racewieght lol.. so i picked it up new for under a good bit under 20k lol.. so all good to get good deals, anyways i wouldnt' mind owning an 03 cobra lol, so please dont get mad at me! neways i started out with 310hp and u got an underrated 390! so if it werne't for ur car wieghin so much, id definetly be jealous even though i dont really like mustangs..
by the way a buddy of mine runs the nmra or mustang racing series thing.. in his 99 black vert with a 03 crate, stock motor and blower convert in the 10.90s.. different rearend with 4.30 gears, 5sp manual trans.. it prolly wieghed 3800+ as well.. so ive been educated on "mustangs"

LS1 - $23K (that's what I paid for mine) / 350 = $65.71/hp

$13/hp for a factory blower and a forged internal motor that can handle 800rwhp. Not too bad if you ask me.
There...we've officially riced out squall's post. Sorry man.
