Magnoflow or Hooker muffler
I was think of going with a Dynomouth system but I think I am too chicken because I want to stay away from rasp and drone so I am going with a more conventional type of muffler. Which would you recommend the Hooker muffler or the Magnaflow? I have a 3" I pipe and I am going to have custom tailpipes made so all I need is a muffler. Which one is louder? Which has less drone? Thanks for the help.

Well, I can't speak of the Magnaflow...but I have the Hooker catback. With stock manifolds its a little louder than stock with alot more aggressive tone. With headers, it wakes up alot...sounds real good IMO. No drone to speak of.

Personally i like both, i find the hooker is louder but has more of a raspy sound, the magnaflow ( not magnoflow in your thread title ) is not quite as lound IMO but a lot deeper. If you want, go on ls1sounds.com and download some clips and see for youself bro.

Another vote for Hooker, I have it on my 1989 Formula w/headers and no cats, it sounds great. I replaced my flowmasters on that car b/c of the drone and the Hooker did a good job of quieting it down.
