Default Jounce Bumper..w/ Prostars?

I did a search didnt come up with anything.....

do I need to remove the Jounce Bumper with Prostars?
15x10s
26x10 ET DRag...and I will run a 28x9 also

I have grinded the calipers and they are ready ...it looks like they need to be off...I cant remember if I took them off of my 95 TA or not....

probably remove them, but not have to cut out that area or pund it back much. the tire isn't too wide so it shouldn't be a big problem

I removed the rubber, and bent the metal part in. Some just cut them off but I did not have a cutting wheel available.

Not to HiJack the thread, but I am putting weld prostars on also, and was wondering what the JOunce bumper is? Any Pics? thanks a lot!

when you take off the wheel in the rear, you'll see this "thing" bolted onto the lower portion of the inner fenderwell in the middle. pretty much centered right above the axle. to prevent the axle from bottoming out. there is two bolts if i'm not mistaken that hold it on. you can just undo those and take it off. if you need to really fit a big tire in there, then that's when you need to start cutting and hammering.

also referred to as a "bump stop" if that helps.

all that is cut out of there on my car..

I hit it with the grinder while doing the calipers. No more clearance issues. 11.5x15 ET Street.

can the rear end drop to much and do some damage after u pull the bump stop?

I did not remove mine with my prostars (10" with 7.5"backspacing) I just grinded the rough edges smooth...I looked under the car with the wheels/tires (Nittos') on and it sits almost an inch away from the bumpstop.
