Default help oil in my anti-freeze 3.8L

In my 1996 camaro 3.8l I've been getting oil in my anti-freeze and overflow tank for awhile now but noting in motor or anywhere else just in anti-freeze. the car runs good and never overheats.

Could it be trans fluid....instead of motor oil?? Your trans cooler could be leaking into your cooling system if you have an auto trans. Check your ATF...see if it shows evidence of water (it'll look like Pepto-Bismo). Usually if trans fluid gets into your coolant it gets real gummy and brown, fools some people into misdiagnosing the problem.

That is what mine turned out to be. I replaced the radiator & viola, problem gone! Wipe the gunk on the over flow dipstick onto a paper towel & smell it. See if it doesn't smell like tranny fluid + coolant. (check by wiping the oil dipstick onto another towel with some coolant next to it...tranny fluid has a very different aroma)

3800 are known for bad intake gasket's which will cause your problem I've had to change a couple of them on different vehicle's. They also had some problem's with crack's in the intake too, GM had some bulliten's out on this problem.

Yeah most likely it is the intake gaskets. We get a couple of 3.8 and 3.4s a week with bad ones.
