Default 78 or 90 Fast intake?

Mods are in sig. I could do the 78 LSX with my current ported/polished TB or the 90mm LSX setup. Would the 78 mm version be worth anything over my current ls6. How bout the 90mm setup on a stock cubed motor? Thanks in advance.

From what I heard the 90 is good for 10 HP over my LS6 intake.-Fred

you wont gain anything over the ls6 with the 78 fast, but you should pick up anywhere from 10-20 rwhp going with the 90mm, but it a lot of money to buy the manifold and a new throttle body. I hear the tpis 90mm throttle body is better than the fast 90.

I gained 27rwhp & 13rwtq over my LS6 intake and ported TB on my H/C car. I'd say go 90mm you won't gain anything with the 78mm over the LS6.

smokin' joe, you already had an LS6 right? That is enought gain over an ls6 to justify the bucks. I wouldn't do it for 10, but 27 I'm game!

Were you running a ported TB or stock with the ls6?

I've installed a couple of 90mm FAST setups and have been impressed enough by the results to know that I'm buying myself an intake and tb with the income tax money this year.

If you go with a 90mm setup IMO go with the TPIS TB they have killer customer service just a great company to deal with. The FAST has issue's and from what I've heard the customer service isn't that great. The TPIS has all the thing's done to it that the FAST didn't, like make sure the tps bearing stay's in place and the TB blade doesn't slip on the shaft plus the TPIS come's with the vent tube now for the pcv.

The TPIS has a $200 core charge on top of the 450 price tag though! ouch! Creaping up on a 1500 combo.

They need the core for the TPS sensor and the IAC that they switch over to the 90mm TB.
