Default 285 40 17's all around?

I need to get more traction out of my street tires, so i'm thinking of getting some black zr1s 9.5" all around and 285 40 17's front and back to be able to rotate them and get more life out of them
any issues with the 285's up front?

the car is daily driven that's why i want street tires, and right now
it goes 117+ on spray

i ran 285s for a couple years and had sportline springs.they were on factory ws6 wheels.the only time the fronts rubbed was on a hard banked turn, like when going on the freeway.other than that there was no problems.

Ya I had the same size on my TT2's a few years back with the sportlines kit. However unlike jonnyc, my car didn't have any rubbing issues (probably because of the different rim offset from stock).

I had 10-spoke SS wheels and 285's, with the Sportline springs. No rubbing, street or road course.

I have them too, slight rubbing up front, nothing thats gonna hurt the tire or inner fender. Out back it rubbed on the inner drivers side, BFH mod took care of that. Driving on the freeway and tight curves feel great and confident. Regular uneven street roads are annoying, the car trys to steer into every groove in da road. Eventually I will get a diff setup, but for now its working. Heres a quick pic for reference.
